Welcome to our festive wrapping series which aims to help you make your gifts look absolutely gorgeous under the tree this Christmas. 


It’s the first of December and, as we count down to the big day, we’ve got some fabulous festive ideas to show you each day.


So, to start with, we decided to feature this sumptuous classic crimson and gold gift wrapping.


This is a style which displays two of the most beautiful colours of Christmas and looks so warm and luxurious at this time of year. 


When we saw it, we absolutely loved the super stylish wrapping paper, but the great thing about this classic style is it’s actually really simple to create.


We came across the paper in Paperchase on the Tottenham Court Road in London. Then we accessorised with a deep red tassel from the haberdashery department of John Lewis and a ribbon and tag from Hobbycraft and WH Smith respectively.


It’s a phrase that’s said a lot when it comes to clothes, but, with the right accessories, you can make your gifts look gorgeous, glamorous and effortlessly stylish too. Love this classic look!






Not only is the weekend just around the corner, but it’s the beginning of December next week and that means time to start opening those advent calendar doors and counting down to the big day!


We absolutely love giving gifts at Christmas time and part of the fun is in making them look really special even before they’re unwrapped. 


If you’re planning your Christmas gifts already and like the thought of doing something special with your wrapping this year, we’ve got some gorgeous ideas for you to try, with some handy guides on how to do them.


Each day we will show you the inspiration behind the ideas followed by the final wrapping. So, whether you like your wrapping style rustic, oriental, glitzy or super stylish, we’ve got it all. 


Working out how to make Christmas wrapping look beautiful doesn’t have to be difficult. At the start of the day we will show you our mood board so you can see the inspiration for the wrapping style. Then we’ll unveil the final product, with a guide on how to do it, later in the day.


So, all you need to do is get the tools ready, stick some Buble on the wireless and start getting in the mood for Santa!

It’s one of the highlights of the festive period. The bit that signals the run up to Christmas and the time when we’re officially allowed to start getting in the mood for Santa.

Now that the fireworks are finished and the Halloween costumes have been put away for another year our minds can turn to the magic that surrounds the holiday season and with it the fabulous Christmas adverts that grace our screens from November onwards. 

This year, the usual favourites such as John Lewis and Sainsbury, have gone all out once more and delivered a touch of fantasy with their Man on the Moon and Mog the cat films which pull at the heart strings as they always do. 

But, while the magic is a wonderful thing, we found these adverts were so far removed from reality that they felt a little lonely in places and a tad alienating. For us the real winners are the ones that you might not expect. 

We have noticed a break away from the cheese this year with a group of adverts that deliver a touch of Christmas realism in a humorous way. A kind of “all in it together” and “you’re not alone” type mentality that people can really connect and identify with. 

Having fallen in love with a few short films in our time, we know that a beautifully produced film should enable the viewer to make a personal link with you and connect with your products on an emotional level by seeing them in action.

So here are a few of the adverts that we really connected with for 2015: 





So winter has finally hit and as you start to dream of log fires and snow at Christmas, over here in the UK unfortunately it’s more likely to mean quite a lot of rain and darker days. 


But the cold season doesn’t have to be all dreary. If you’re dreaming of a sparkling winter wonderland then why not do it properly by escaping to somewhere where you’re guaranteed snow, have a good chance of spotting the northern lights and maybe even a glimpse of Santa himself!
